Fundometer Help

Fundometer is a tool designed to help you save up for specific goals and purchases.

1. Creating a new Thermometer: Tap the “Add” button at the top of the welcome screen to create a new thermometer. You will then be taken to the Edit Thermometer screen where you can enter in all the info for your thermometer.

2. The Edit Thermometer Screen: This screen is shown when you first create a thermometer, but can also be accessed later by long pressing the thermometer listing on the Welcome Screen. Here you can enter a goal name, goal amount, and add a picture from the camera or the gallery. Tap save to confirm all of your changes and create the thermometer.

3. The Display Screen: This screen is where the thermometer graphic and all the info is displayed. You can add funds by tapping the Add Funds button and you can access the Share function from the menu.


Upgrade Help (Android):

In-app upgrades are handled through the Google Play In App Billing process. If you have the latest version of Google Play installed on your device and you are connected to the Internet, you should be able to purchase quickly and effortlessly and your purchases will be validated every time the app starts.

1. Why would I not have the latest version of Google Play?

There are a few reasons this might be the case. If you have an earlier version of Google Play installed, it is a simple matter of updating the application. Otherwise you are most likely out of luck because your device did not come with Google Play. For example Google Play is not supported on Android versions 2.1 and prior. However even for those devices, all of the free features are still available and supported.

2. What if I am not connected to the Internet?

If you are not connected to the internet, the app will not be able to validate your purchase through Google Play. The app will hold your upgraded status for a time (based on some of my testing), but may eventually not recognize your upgrades. This should not be a problem for suppressing ads, since they also need internet access to appear. However you won’t be able to add a fourth (or greater) thermometer. Your extra thermometers will not disappear, but you will be prompted to upgrade again if you try to add a new thermometer. You can re-validate your upgrade status as soon as your internet connection is restored by using the “Re-validate Upgrades” option in the menu.

3. I am getting errors relating to the IAB process

There may be an problem either with the app’s configuration with Google Play, or with the app’s license key. In any case, the error will be accompanied with an onscreen message or a popup alert. Please email with the message you received and we will try to address the problem and/or release a bugfix.

In-App Upgrades (iPhone/iPad):

These are available by clicking on the “View Upgrades” button on the main menu. Please let us know if the upgrades are available or not, because we are still working on tweaking the delivery configuration through iTunes. The specific upgrades and pricing will be identical to the Android upgrade catalog.

    I purchased the app and it’s not working properly. It does not save any info nor can I add photos.

    • KF Response: Sorry to hear you are having problems. I’d like to try and figure out what’s going wrong. What kind of device are you using? If you are using and Android device, there should be a toast (popup message) that says “Thermometer Saved” appearing right after you press the save button. Perhaps a picture would be helpful.
